One of Michael Feinstein's best recordings - expressive versions of some great little-known songs.
The Dorothy Fields interest is his version of A Fine Romance. Feinstein uncovered a previously unknown verse to this song. In his words:
It's always exciting to discover something new about a favorite song. Between the second and third choruses of this one (by Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields) you will find a verse that was written for A Fine Romance, but never published, nor used in the 1936 film Swing Time, for which it was created. So where did I find it? In the only place it exists: on Fred Astaire's original unreleased recording of the song.
The new verse is fine - the lyrics can be seen on my page devoted to this song.
