This is a wonderful recording from the period when Whiting's magnificent creamy voice was at its peak. Terrific arrangements from Russell Garcia make track after track a delight. Particular favourites are two rarely-heard Kern numbers: Poor Pierrot and D'ye Love Me.

All of the Fields tracks are great, with a flute and percussion combining with a great performance by Whiting to make You Couldn't Be Cuter the best recording of this fun song.
